Please see attached pictures of salting / de-salting equipment that is available. It includes 2 screw conveyor units, 1 double salt spreader and 1 de-salter. (The ice machine in the picture is not for sale.) The video shows a single unit but there is a second unit also being included. For shipping purposes the actual screw conveyors will have to be detached from the hoppers in order to fit in a container.
As for the de-salter, it was designed to increase the speed of de-salting fish. The design of the de-salter is based on 3 steel belts that basically tip over the load of salt and saltfish. So when the fish falls off the last steel belt; 99 % of the salt has gone. The salt then falls into bins placed under the de-salter. The belts also run at increasing speed to increase gap between fish pieces.
All for the purpose of increasing speed and convenience.
